Are you looking to develop your clinical expertise as an autonomous practitioner in an exciting and challenging Respiratory Specialist Nurse role? The post will be based at Camborne/Redruth Community Hospital covering up to 14 surgeries in the Camborne, Redruth, and Helston area. This post can involve a lot of driving most days.

We are looking for applicants who either have a respiratory qualification or are willing to work towards obtaining one. The applicant would need to have a good respiratory background or good respiratory knowledge.

You will be responsible for a caseload of around 100 patients. Some of these patients can be complex with varing degrees of respiratory failure.

You will need to have excellent time management skills. You will need to manage a caseload, new referrals, organise and teach pulmonary rehabilitation groups, and nurse led oxygen clinics.

You will work closely with other Health Professionals especially G.P’s and community matrons. You will also review patients in the community hospital settings.

In return we can provide you with the opportunity to work in a supportive environment including a full month’s induction with continuos support from all team members. Full training for a level 2-3, respiratory module will be offered to fullfil the essential requirements for the post.

This is a full time post working 375 hours per week.
