Job Description

B7 Resus Practitioner Clinical lead ( ODP or nurse)
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Major Trauma Service at UHCW for a B7 Clinical lead position within our established team of Resus Trauma Practitioners.

As part of the Major Trauma Service the team are based within the Resus, Emergency department and play a key role within the trauma team. the Resus practitioner clinical role includes the reception of the major trauma patient, initial assessment and stabilisation, airway management and safe transfer for on-going care. the role is varied, fast paced and will allow the postholder to develop their knowledge and extended skills.

in addition the B7is responsible for driving forward the development of the service within ED through identification of effective pathways of care that require developing/ maintaining and adjusting. The B7 is responsible for the management of the Resus Trauma Practitioner team, their professional development and the e-rostering of shifts.

This post would suit an ODP or Nurse with extensive and current experience in the Resus emergency environment.

the role will include long shifts, weekend and night work. A fixed nonclinical day shift on a Wednesday will allow time for team management, teaching and attendance of relevant Major Trauma Service meetings such as case reviews and clinical governance.
