We are able to support you through the Anglian Ruskin University Return to Practice programme – we will make every effort to link placements to your previous nursing experience but placement opportunities also depend upon service need.

Alongside our Trust Induction, as a Return to Practice Nurse the post holder will participate in the provision of individualized patient care, working collaboratively with patients, relatives, colleagues and disciplines to ensure a high standard of care. You will have supernumerary status with full support from a sign off mentor whilst you undertake the required clinical hours to regain your skills.

In partnership with Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge or Chelmsford Campus) a course applicable to returning to practice has been developed covering all aspects of nursing care.

There will be an Open day at Hinchingbrooke hospital in May, followed by interviews in June at Anglia Ruskin University Cambridge Campus.

From 1st June 2016 all employees commencing employment at Hinchingbrooke Healthcare NHS Trust who require a DBS Check, or existing staff transferring to roles which require a DBS or higher level DBS than currently held, will be charged for the cost of the check (currently £50 for an Enhanced Check and £31 for a Standard Check). This payment will be deducted from your first months’ salary.
