Job Description

RGN - Custody Nurse
Full Time Permanent job - 37.5 hours per week
£30,000
Birmingham

My Client is one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK and has a number of Custody Nurse vacancies to fill across the West Midlands, experience isn't necessary as full training will be given, however it is essential that you have a minimum of three years post qualification experience as a General or Dual Qualified Nurse.

Your main duties and responsibilities will involve the following:
Carry out assessments of detainees through physical and mental health assessments
Offer treatment, care and advice to detainees and police officers
Provide healthcare interventions to manage illness or injury
Carry out forensic examinations of police officers and staff
Maintain complete and accurate clinical records

This is a great opportunity to use all your clinical skills in an environment where no two days are the same. You will work autonomously but also be part of a large team where you will receive lots of support from your Line Manager and is an ideal role for a Nurse that has worked in either A&E, Prison, Community or a Mental Health setting, however this isn't essential so if you are ready for a new challenge, this could be the job for you.

You will need to be available to work a variety of shifts including days, weekends and nights and in return you will receive first class training to carry out the job, along with on going professional development, Company Pension, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays plus a competitive salary.

On the occasion you may need to visit another site, you will be provided with a pool car or offered mileage.
