Salary: £25,000 to £34,500 per annum
Description: We are seeking a Call Centre Nurse to assist with the delivery of the ‘24 hour’ Telephone Assessment service in British Forces Germany. The main focus of this role will be the delivery of clinical telephone assessment and triage services to patients across BFG and the Isodets. When working during the day-time (7 am to 9 pm) this will include supervising and supporting call handlers to ensure a smooth running and professional service. Out of hours services (9 pm to 7 am) are carried out from home.
Person Specification: To carry out this role successfully you must be a confident and assertive Primary Care Nurse with an excellent telephone manner. You will need sound first contact/treatment room skills, and the confidence and competence to make effective clinical decisions based on local knowledge and a breadth of experience. In addition, you must be highly competent in the use of TeleAssess (or willing to undertake training).
To succeed you will be a strong team player with excellent organisation and communication skills. You should be competent in the use of patient information software, Microsoft Office and use of the internet. You will need the ability to organise your own clinical work efficiently whilst supervising and supporting other team members. Clinical supervisory and/or effective mentorship skills would be an advantage. You must have current registration with the NMC as an RGN (Adult). Experience of with working in a military environment would be an advantage. You must have a full current driving licence and be able to work a range of shift patterns.
