Due to an exciting service expansion the opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team in the clinical area of Rheumatology out patients at Grantham & District Hospital & Pilgrim Hospital Boston.

About our service

The Occupational Therapy out patient service at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is a highly skilled expanding service which works closely with the acute inpatient multi-disciplinary team to provide high quality care to people who are having difficulties with their occupational performance.

About the Role…

We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team of over 75 Occupational Therapy staff within the Trust across four hospital sites. This specialised team consists of Band 7 Clinical Specialist Team Lead Rheumatology OT (County wide), Hand Therapists on each site, OT support staff and admin support so there is plenty of opportunity for you to develop your career, clinical and management skills.

The post-holder will work between Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and Grantham and District Hospital providing out-patient clinics in these locations on a frequency to be determined by the post-holder in conjunction with the two Site Lead OT’s. There may also be an opportunity for you to undertake home visits for the patients in the catchment areas of these two hospitals. Flexibility is a key ingredient to the success of this post, both in the way you effectively manage your time and the communication with your colleagues on different sites.

As a service we are committed to excellence and provide regular staff supervision and appraisal. The department regularly takes occupational therapy students from Sheffield Hallam and Derby University as well as from further afield. We also actively support those seeking work experience to pursue a career in Occupational Therapy.
