Do you want to be part of something new and innovative?
We are looking for 2 salaried GP’s to join us in our Vertical Integration project working closely with our local acute Trust, The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT).
We have 12 sessions available, so would suit 1 x 4 sessions and 1 x 8 sessions per week, ideally including all day Wednesday and Friday. The post is a salaried post with RWT but only based at the surgery in MGS Medical Practice. Your indemnity will be covered by Royal Wolverhampton Trust under the hospital scheme for GMS work and you will have paid time for study and CPD.
MGS Medical Practice has 3 sites all based in Wolverhampton, with a growing list size of around 7700. The practice has 2 Clinical partners, 1 Business Manager partner, 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 1 Advanced Nurse Practitioner, 2 regular locum GP’s, a full complement of nursing and admin staff .
The practice, offers range of appointments and services and are always open to new ideas and, with the other practices included in the vertical integration project, are developing a new model of Primary Care provision through Vertical Integration
We offer range of appointments and are always open to new ideas and, with other practices, are developing a new model of Primary Care provision through Vertical Integration. We use Emis Web.
We pride ourselves on providing a high quality of service for our patients, our CQC inspection rated us ‘Good’ overall, we are high achievers for Qof and we work closely with our administrative and clinical staff to make our practice a supportive place to work.
Since working closely with RWT, we are actively planning changes, with the other practices undertaking the Vertical Integration project to improve patient care in the community by increasingly close working and blurring of the boundaries between primary and secondary care. We are part of the new Primary Care Directorate at RWT, and have a shared place on the Trust Management Committee, giving us a voice and the ability to work closely with managers and clinicians at the decision making face of the organisation. It is also our aim through Vertical Integration to make Primary Care more attractive as a speciality with improved working life for GPs
We are excited by the new working arrangements we have in place and this is an opportunity for someone to be involved from the beginning as we work through some ground breaking changes in the way primary care is run and delivered in Wolverhampton.
