SEN Casework Officer, Kensington and Chelsea

Service Care Solutions have an urgent vacancy that we would like to bring to your attention. We are looking for a SEN Case Work Officer to work in The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

This is to work Full Time and is to start ASAP.

Pay rates are negotiable depending on experience.

The contract is 3 months with a chance to apply for the role in a Permanent setting.

This role is not for Newly Qualified Social Workers, this is for candidates with extensive Special Educational Needs experience.

Duties for a Special Educational Needs Case Officer:
•Manage and process, statutory and non-statutory casework within legal and internal timelines for an allocated caseload.
•This is including complex cases and those involving appeal hearings and other legal proceedings.
•Provide support to the SEN Key-Worker on casework issues involving written and oral communication with parents and a range of professionals
•Arrange, attend and minute meetings as required by the SEN Key-Worker.

•Enhanced DBS
•Knowledge of the Education Act 1996 with regard to SEN; and the SEN Code of Practice (2001); the Children & Families Act (2014)
•IT literate including using database technology, and Excel
