ME-0367 We are seeking to employ a full time senior cardiographer. You need to be an experienced cardiographer, able to competently perform 12 lead ECG's, and be experienced in the application of ambulatory ECG's, cardiac event recorders, and BP's. It is also important that you are able to interpret ECG’s and to provide a preliminary report for event recorders. The post holder will also provide supervision and teaching of staff and students who require teaching in performing & interpreting ECG.
The cardiology diagnostic department at SWBH NHS Trust is currently split over two hospital sites - City Hospital and Sandwell Hospital, where we carry out a variety of investigations and procedures on patients with known, or suspected cardiac conditions and currently employ over 40 staff in a multi-disciplinary team. In 2018 we are moving into our new Acute Hospital “The Midland Met”. The new state of the art acute hospital in Grove Lane, Smethwick will bring together all acute services onto one site.
You will be expected to work at both hospital sites. We do support a flexible working policy, and so would happily consider part time or job share applicants.

The Midland Metropolitan Hospital is being built in Smethwick and will be open in October 2018. It will be the single acute hospital for Sandwell and West Birmingham, providing state of the art healthcare facilities for the population. The Midland Metropolitan will house the emergency department, maternity, acute inpatient wards and operating theatres. Sandwell Hospital remains the site for the Trust headquarters. As well as providing outpatient services, day case surgery and intermediate care beds, the Sandwell Treatment Centre will have a large urgent care centre. The City Hospital site will provide outpatient care and day case surgery from the Birmingham Treatment Centre. Intermediate care beds will remain on the City Hospital site along with the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.
