BSUH have embarked therefore on a radical transformation of their procurement department. The prime objective of this is to make the Trust more commercial in all its dealings with suppliers, providers and partners, such that there is greatly improved value for money delivered throughout the Trust’s supply chain. This will always be developed though with a clear emphasis and recognition on patient care.
This approach will look to merge best practice procurement and supply chain management from both inside and outside of the NHS, such that a truly ‘industry-leading’ service can be delivered.
Working at BSUH within Procurement, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of the Corporate and IT Category whilst working with the wider operational teams to create the most advantageous commercial arrangements for the Trust with circa £20m expenditure. You will be exposed to strategic procurement projects which will require the Corporate and IT category expertise and strategic commercial acumen.
