This post is an ideal opportunity for a physiologist with solid skills and who is independently competent in echocardiography or for those who want to improve their echo skills, in this imaging specialized department with state of art imaging software (McKesson PACS and full Tom Tec).
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team. The department will provide a comprehensive echo service including Led physiologist complex echo, 3D pharmacological and exercise stress echo, 3D TOE, contrast studies, bubble studies.
With the new management actively involved in echo, we are working towards more physiologist led clinics for valve clinic, stress echo, and TOE.
We have 3 Cardiac Imaging Consultants who take an active role in the educational development of the Department and Cardiac Physiologists are actively present the weekly echo meetings where unusual cases and operational issues are discussed.
We are also committed to developing increased opportunities for physiologists including on-going training and education. The research and development director is also our cardiology imaging lead and offers various opportunities to become involved in research projects.
The successful applicant will possess:
- BSc Clinical Physiology (Cardiology) or equivalent
- At least 12 months experience on echocardiography
- EACVI / BSE accredited for chief position (Band 7)
- Work towards to BSE / EACVI accreditation (Band 6).
Salary plus £4k (pro rata) payable after 6 months in post.
