Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is a fixed term appointment from as soon as possible for six months to cover a vacant post and is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The post is full time and the post holder will be expected to participate on the 1:14 middle grade rota.
This is an excellent opportunity within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The on-call rota will be a 1 in 14 full shift rota. Although not a training post, opportunities will be available for the appointee to develop their skills in all areas of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Although near London, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage are in rural settings and well served by rail and road. There is a wide choice of housing, good schools and excellent leisure facilities.
Following the investment of £150 million in major new facilities at the Lister, along with a £30 million New QEII hospital built by the local clinical commissioning group, the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust has brought together all its specialist emergency and inpatient services at the Stevenage hospital. Our state-of–the-art clinical facilities include a major new Emergency Department, the Hertfordshire Cardiology Centre (which includes a 24/7 PPCI service), new scanning centre, McMillan chemotherapy unit, ward, endoscopy and theatre blocks.
