Working pattern: Part Time 30 hours per week Mon, Tue, Thur & Friday

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Dispensing Assistant to join our Pharmacy team.

This is an exciting time for our 700 bedded Trust.

 A new hospital opened on the Kings Mill site in 2010 with a state of the art Emergency Care facility.
 The Pharmacy Department has moved to a brand new purpose built dispensary with robotic dispensing that has allowed us to radically change our working practices
 Our well staffed department is enabling us to undertake an exciting programme of new developments

The primary role is to liaise with our purchasing department, patients, carers and Doctors to ensure patients receive their full supply of medicines in a safe and timely manner. These medicines can often be specialised that require controlled ordering due to their shortened expiry or the nature of the medicine. Label and dispense prescriptions. Reception and clerical duties, bagging up of medicines and drug charts to send to the wards/departments, maintenance and control of stock and sundries. Some working at Newark Hospital is also required.

The successful applicant must:

• Possess NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services
• Experience of dispensing medicines
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Possess good IT/keyboard skills
