Full Time Senior Fellow in Shoulder Surgery
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics. The post will be ideal for those who wish to enhance their skills in Shoulder surgery in preparation for their appointment to the Consultant Grade.
University Hospital Southampton is a Major Trauma Centre and productive elective hospital which will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to work with world class shoulder surgeons who specialise in elective and trauma shoulder surgery. The department currently consists of 24 Consultant Orthopaedic surgeons with a wide range of sub specialty teams. The post would be ideally suited to those that have gained their CCT and are looking to enhance their chosen subspecialty. Participation in the senior on call rota will be required.
The successful Fellow will be given active support with clinical research and will be expected to present and publish this work as appropriate. This post does not attract an NTN and does not lead to the award of CCT but is aimed at Year 5/6 Specialty Registrar, requiring additional experience. Prospective educational approval from PMETB will need to be sought if time in this post is required to count for CCT. Possession of FRCS Ortho or equivalent is an essential requirement of the post.
