The Priory Hospital Keighley is a 43 bed specialist provider of slow stream psychiatric rehabilitation for both males and females 18+ who may/may not be liable to detention under the MHA (1983, amended 2007) we also providsde a 9 bed specialist Dementia service for older adults. We work within the CPA framework, supported by a full MDT.

We are looking for enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants. The successful candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, be flexible and self motivated to work in this unique and sometimes challenging environment.

Duties will involve all aspects of care for our patients who have a combination of mental and physical illnesses.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of care plans.
  • Observes and monitors the well being of patients ensuring that any unusual physical, emotional or mental occurrences are promptly referred to a senior nurse.
  • Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with patient, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.

You will be required to work days and night shifts including weekends to meet to needs of the hospital.
