Job Description

Barchester Healthcare is looking for an outstanding Senior Nurse (General) to provide and supervise the delivery of high quality nursing care to our residents.

Reporting to the Unit Nurse Manager/ Deputy General Manager/ General Manager, you will be expected to maintain professional and clinical standards and use your strong interpersonal skills to provide clinical leadership to members of the care team.

You will need to hold a current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) and provide evidence of continuing professional development alongside a current mentor/ supervision qualification. Ideally, you will have a nursing degree, or be willing to undertake education to degree level. A teaching qualification would be an advantage.

You must have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of the CQC and regulatory requirements and framework. You must also have an awareness of the clinical policy framework, DoLS/ MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.

You will have experience of working in an older person setting and producing well developed care plans. You will also have experience of undertaking risk assessments, clinical team working and supporting newly qualified nurses.
