An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruiting an experienced clinician with a to work within the Mental Health Liaison Psychiatric Team based in Whiston Hospital's Accident and Emergency Department. This will be for a period of six months (Fixed Term Contract).
The ideal candidate will have proven knowledge of and skill in assessment, risk assessment and formulation and planning for people with a variety of Mental Health presentations including those with complex needs.
You will understand and be committed to the processes that lead to individual recovery in mental health and fully understand the principles and processes of Mental Health assessment, risk assessment and risk management. You will work as a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team contributing to the rapid assessment process

The Team Manager will provide regular managerial supervision and successful candidates will have access to continuing professional development.
Post registration experience is essential and you must be able to demonstrate evidence of recent knowledge, assessment skills, risk management and the ability to work alone as well, as within a multi-disciplinary team.
This post is subject to a standard / an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will either have a valid DBS check with the Trust or will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £4750 for an enhanced disclosure, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
