We have exciting opportunities for two Occupational Therapists (a band 5 and a band 6) with the right skills, experience and qualifications.
Redbridge is proud of its progress in establishing Integrated Stroke & Rehabilitation services, working in partnership across health, social care and the voluntary and private sectors over the past decade.
We have established a new therapy team as part of wider services, taking another bold stride in integration of services, working at designated localities with district & community nurses, social workers, learning disability staff, mental health and other health care professionals.
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated people who can support the rehabilitation process with a broad range of patients, primarily in their home. We are excited to be in a position to offer posts to join our dynamic team to deliver excellent outcomes for Stroke and elderly rehabilitation.
In return, you will be part of a likeminded, dedicated multidisciplinary team and, receive ongoing training and support in your continuing professional development in a friendly, supportive environment.

The main responsibilities of the post:
Assessment and rehabilitation of community stroke and intermediate care patients as a specialist occupational therapist, including undertaking a key worker role as part of a multidisciplinary team, currently evolving to include G.Ps, social workers & nursing staff as well as physiotherapists and rehabilitation support workers.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a six months probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

As minimum criteria all staff employed by the Trust should have a basic competency for numeracy and literacy equivalent to NVQ level 2. If you are shortlisted for interview, you will be required to sit for an Assessment.

High Cost Area Supplement- London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £3,518 and a maximum payment of £4,483 per annum).
