BMI Edgbaston Hospital in Birmingham is set in leafy Edgbaston with good transport links and free parking for all their staff. Edgbaston Hospital is a 50 bedded inpatient hospital with an extensive outpatient services including consulting rooms, pre-assessment, physio and Imaging. Being part of the staff at BMI Edgbaston hospital you will receive development opportunities through training, preceptorship and support for revalidation.

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Wards department.

This is a Full Time role for 375 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Level 1 RGN essential
  • ENB 998 730 or similar qualification
  • Be flexible and able to manage change
  • Post registration clinical courses.
  • Up to date knowledge in acute surgery/orthopaedics.
  • Ward management experience.
  • Aware of the NMC code of accountability.
  • Good communicator
  • Evidence of professional development

Duties of this role include:

  • To promote and maintain caring and highly professional standards of nursing; meeting the needs of the patients in all aspects and promoting job satisfaction within the nursing team.
  • The post-holder is responsible for planning and delivery of patient care to the agreed standards.
  • The post-holder deputises on behalf of the Department Managers of the suite or department during spans of duty.
