Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated OT with the desire to lead and help deliver a top quality service to people with a learning disability. This role is at Band 7/ Band 6 depending upon experience. It would ideally suit an experienced community practitioner who is used to working with complexity, accustomed to collaborating across services to deliver results and is passionate about developing the skills and competence of colleagues.

We are looking for someone who may have a good range of skills and experience across either physical health or mental health & enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team.

We work closely with social care colleagues, as well as colleagues in Primary Care and other specialist secondary services. Our service works hard to foster good joint working relationships wherever they are needed to meet the needs of disabled people.

You will be working alongside other OT colleagues as well as other health and social care professionals and will receive regular supervision and support.

We are seeking an experienced practitioner (ideally with experience of completing standardised assessments such as the Assessment Of Motor and Process Skills) ) who has the necessary skills to manage a varied caseload across a range of defined care pathways.

This opportunity is available as a secondment opportunity or as 6 month fixed term contract from November –May 2017 with some flexibility around start date and hours.

Successful candidates are normally offered salaries at the bottom of the relevant salary range. However, where previous or equivalent NHS experience in a similar role can be demonstrated and evidenced, this may be taken into consideration when setting the starting salary.
