Job Description

Zentar UK is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Staff Nurse to work in the Outpatients division of our client.
Our client is the UK's largest independently owned not for profit hospital, consisting of over 250 patient beds and 12 operating theatres including dedicated endoscopy suites, a day surgery unit and an 14 bedded Intensive Care Unit.

The oncology and haematology outpatient department consisting of 12 treatment areas and aims to provide the highest standards of nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy, aphaeresis and related treatments.

You will be involved in teaching, policy creation and best practice delivery, promotion of cancer services and department projects.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in acute medicine including at least 1 year in an oncology setting. You will also have skills in cannulation, phlebotomy and chemotherapy administration.

To act as role model providing leadership; to be flexible in staffing situations whenever required.

•To use evidence based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit in all aspects of nursing care.

•To comply and be aware of the NMC's Guidelines for Records and Record Keeping.

•Ensuring that all aspects of confidentiality are upheld in relation to patient/employee records in accordance with the Clinic's data protection policies.

•To work in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.

•To demonstrate flexibility to the daily workload which may be unpredictable.
