Job Description

The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.


Children’s Ambulatory Care is made up of three dedicated facilities suitable for the admission and care of children who require medical and surgical day case, outpatient or ward attender treatment and care.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Children’s Nurse with a minimum of two years’ experience at Band 5. Experience in the speciality of Children’s Ambulatory care is desirable.

You will have ideas to bring to the development of the service and be a key player in making these work in practice.

You will deliver direct patient care whilst co-ordinating and overseeing nursing practice and lead the team in the Sister’s absence.

A willingness to undertake training in staff management is essential.
