Although experience is desirable don’t worry if you’re new to the career as full training is provided.

Broughton Lodge

Cambian Broughton Lodge is a specialist residential home for young people with autism, learning disabilities and needs. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective care environment for those in our care. Promoting complex independence and community integration. Our approach at Cambian Broughton Lodge is to maintain a promise of personalised learning for residents through experience and therapeutic services, empowering individuals to progress towards a life with increased independence and improved community integration.

Our dedicated care team ensures that each individual’s care programme is designed to affect a gradual process of development. A combination of person-centred therapeutic planning, measurement of progress and a full multi-disciplinary approach ensures the best outcomes for the young people in our care.

Macclesfield and the surrounding area

Job Role

This job involves caring and supporting our residents in all aspects of their lives to enable them to develop their skills and enhance their ability to access the community. By carrying out these responsibilities well, you will be helping to provide the best possible quality of care for those who live at Cambian Broughton Lodge. You will also be helping to create a pleasant working environment for other people who work here.

Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our residents you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.

Shift Pattern

Week 1 – 4 Days on, 3 Days off

Week 2 – 3 Days on, 4 Days off

Working Hours 745am to 815pm

*There will be a possible requirement to work Night Shifts in times of need.

Hours are 745pm to 815am

Candidate Profile
You will be a strong team player, confident and motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others.

  • Candidates with experience working with residents with Autism and/or challenging behaviours are desired.
  • Experience in Care
  • NVQ3 in Social Care is essential.
