Our vacancy An opportunity has arisen to join our Contraception & Sexual Health Team to work as a Bank Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner (CASH) working in Epsom Contraception Clinic. The Contraception & Sexual Health (CASH) nursing team is based out of Epsom Contraception Clinic, and you will work alongside fellow dedicated and highly skilled healthcare professionals. As a team, we focus on patient experience and clinical outcomes in equal measure and actively encourage innovation and new ways of working. We always strive to support each other in any way we can. The post holder will work as Bank Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner (CASH) and may have the opportunity to cover other clinic sites across Surrey. The post holders are expected to act as a source of specialist knowledge providing expert nursing care in the management of service users with Contraception needs. As a member of the Sexual Health Team the post holder will contribute to the creation of an environment that promotes clinical excellence and empowers staff to develop and provide a high standard of care. The role will also involve:
  • Providing high quality contraceptive care in a safe, friendly, non-judgmental and confidential manner
  • Advising clients on contraceptive and safer sexual health needs
  • Arranging referrals and provide health promotion / education
  • Supporting learner nurses, doctors and post registration students & mentor students when undertaking sexual health courses
  • Maintaining client records and support the smooth running of clinics
The essential qualities we are looking for in our Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner applicants are:
  • Registered first level nurse, contraception qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience of contraception services
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-directed practitioner
  • Highly motivated, flexible and an active team player.
