An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Theatre Department for two permanent Sister/Charge Nurse at Spire Hull & East Riding Hospital.

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurses or ODP's who have experience of working with patients in a peri-operative environment.

The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:-

  • Organised and structured in approach to work

  • Ability to co-ordinate the theatre department

  • Motivation of team members

  • Ability to deal with challenges in a positive manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience of change management

In addition to the above the successful applicants must hold the following:-

  • Registered Nurse/ODP Diploma or Degree

  • Mentorship in Professional Practice qualification preferred

  • Previous peri operative experience in at least one speciality

  • Experience of teaching and mentoring students and peers

  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience preferred

You need be able to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment which often presents challenges. You must have a proven record of being able to work as an independent practitioner as well as leading a team.

Successful applicants who are shortlisted for interview will be expected to prepare a 10 minute presentation to be delivered at the interview - title to be confirmed.
