Band 6 Sister

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative team player to join Annie Zunz Ward at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

Annie Zunz Ward is an 18 bedded ward specialising in both Gynaecology and Surgical female patients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual with multiple skills and an appetite for delivering a first class service to join the team in one of the UKs most successful and progressive NHS Foundation Trusts.

You will gain a vast clinical knowledge and understand a broad range of acute gynaecology and surgical conditions, and associated co-morbidities.

Most of all, you will be able to motivate and engage others to ensure that the services we provide supports the Trust’s values, as well as having a pioneering approach that is not afraid to challenge convention and traditional ways of working.

We are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Sister. This is an opportunity for a dynamic and committed individual to join our friendly team of nurses who work within a wider team of multidisciplinary specialists and medical staff.
The successful candidate will support the ward manager and practice development nurse in ensuring high quality care is provided for our patients undergoing elective and non-elective surgery under a wide range of specialities, and undergoing management of miscarriage and medical/surgical termination of pregnancy.

The successful candidate will provide visible and clear leadership to an established team, delivering safe and effective care to all patients to ensure a positive patient experience to all patients at all times. The post holder will provide support to the ward team and will be responsible in assisting and guiding staff with their professional development.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Band 7 in continuously improving the service delivered to the ward patients

We positively encourage staff development and have a robust Practice Education team who support Clinical Practice and on-going clinical expertise. The emphasis for development within the band 6 role is on leadership and specialised clinical skills.
