Vibrant, resilient, challenging, changing…. Salford is all this and more.
Salford has the fastest growth in private sector employment in Greater Manchester and more people are choosing to make Salford their home. All around Salford, you can see change and regeneration. MediaCityUK is home to both the BBC and Granada television and Port Salford is being developed as a high tech hub to move goods by sea, road and rail. In central Salford, over £600 million investment will create new offices, shops and homes.

You can feel the Spirit of Salford in everything we do. We’re proud and passionate about what we are achieving in Salford. The social care service in Salford has great partnerships with the local CCG, NHS trusts and third sector. In fact we are one of NHS England’s national Vanguards for integrated care and are now part of an integrated care organisation that brings together all health and social care professionals across the city.

We are a dementia friendly city and have excellent links with Salford and Manchester Universities research departments. Our learning difficulties service is recognised nationally for its good practice and we are members of a Greater Manchester partnership – Ambition for Ageing, which has recently been awarded £10 million from the National lottery.

In Salford you’ll be working for an organisation that supports its people, with common and clearly understood shared values. There are plenty of opportunities to develop and take on projects, with staff at all levels being able to shape how we work.
