Social Worker - Cambian Ansel Clinic - Clifton Lane Clifton, Nottingham, NG11 8NB
Full time - Permanent
Salary: £23,500 per Annum

Cambian Ansel Clinic:

The Cambian Ansel Clinic is a specialist mental health service for men with a personality disorder, who also present with complex mental health needs and challenging behaviours. All of our patients are detained under the Mental Health Act and our catchment area is nationwide.
The Ansel Clinic Nottingham consists of a 24 bed tier 4 service, built and operating to Low Secure standards. The services comprises two 2 wards of 12 beds, with one ward acting as a rehabilitation facility, and forming the basis of a step down pathway.

Our psychologically informed and planned services are delivered within an operational framework developed specifically to meet the needs of the patients we work with. This means that our approach is consistent, boundaries, safe, resilient and clinically directed.

The experience and broad skill set of our professional clinical team enables us to deliver a range of therapeutic interventions. We are not a single therapy model service. We structure our approach to each patient's different and changing needs. Our services are offered in time limited episodes of care at an inclusive price and with agreed outcomes and break points.

Role - Social Worker

To work as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team in a low-secure forensic mental health setting working with patients who have a Personality Disorder. Supporting patients in their pathway to achieving, recovering and maintaining a better quality of life through individual and family): work within a social therapy framework.

Essential Qualifications:

Professional Social Work qualification as recognised by the HCPC (including Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
High degree of computer literacy to include main Windows packages, i.e. Word and Excel.

Essential Skills / Knowledge:

Knowledge and understanding of Adult Safeguarding principles, and their application to professional practice
Able to prioritise workload, work with competing deadlines and organise time effectively
Ability to network with a variety of teams, user and carer groups, and professional agencies
Ability to sensitively receive, decipher and cope with traumatic information
Ability to utilise skills of assessment or MH interventions

Desirable Skills / Knowledge:

Working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Amendments 2007 and the Mental Capacity Act, in relation to patient detention and treatment.

A strong team player with a committed attitude to health and social care
Able to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, whilst upholding the social work value base
Commitment to the principles of equal practice
Supporting the aims and business objectives of the Ansel Group
Able to evidence right to work in the UK
Willingness to travel
