Make a Difference

Under the leadership and management of the Team Manager/Principal Social Worker you will contribute to providing a statutory social work and care management service to adults with health and social care needs achieving high quality, timely and person-centred needs assessments that will reflect the needs and risks to the individual, analysis, care planning, intervention and review appropriate to the work of the team or service unit. You will be focussed on multi-disciplinary working and be enthusiastic about working with health and other partners.

Our social workers deliver effective front line services that promote the wellbeing of the residents of Cornwall. We want to keep our best practitioners and reward them for their commitment and expertise. Therefore we have developed a career pathway to encourage them to stay in practice as advanced practitioners or move to front line management.

Opportunities for those who want to progress their careers with us are available in a number of teams.

Cornwall is currently negotiating devolution and as part of the deal we are actively integrating community health and social care services as the basis for improving lives.

Cornwall Council is committed to safeguarding and is an equal opportunities employer.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.
