Band 6 Role
This exciting opportunity has arisen within the Cardiac Team for 3 Band 6 positions. Working closely with the Team Leader you will be providing business continuity, expert clinical leadership and supervision of the team.
The role includes coordinating team daily, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, providing support to qualified and unqualified staff within the department.
This post would suit someone who is wishing to progress their career to the next level of clinical leadership. They will be supported by the Team Leader and Deputy together with your peers and will be expected to contribute to the quality, performance, governance and financial aspects of the role.
This is predominately a young team with the opportunity to develop or use existing mentorship skills with regular student placements.
A full induction package will be offered as well as the support of the Team leader and peers who will assist the successful candidate during their introductory period.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48 or Standard £30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment and will need to be renewed annually. For Band 1 roles the Trust will pay the cost of the DBS checks and refund to you the cost of the update service. DBS checks for volunteers are free.
