We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and forward thinking physiotherapist to join our Acute Therapy team at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan, This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis for 12 months to provide a high standard of physiotherapy to our In patient Trauma & orthopaedic patients. This has has been established to provide cover for an employee on maternity leave.
This post involves working at an advanced level providing expert clinical intervention for our patients while maintaining a leadership role.
This post offers the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills at a specialist level, as well as leadership skills. It will involve the supervision of more junior members of staff, contribution to service development and in service training both within the therapy team and the wider MDT and participation in the training of students.
Weekend work and participation in the on call rota is an essential part of the role.
You will require extensive postgraduate experience, including substantial specialist experience in MSK disorders at a senior level. You will also have advanced knowledge and experience of a wide range of approaches to the management of complex trauma and chronic orthopaedic conditions.
