Specialist Clinical Engineer
Trainees will also be considered for this position (Annexe U Agenda for change 70-75%, 2 years) The Golden Jubilee National Hospital requires a Specialist Clinical Engineer to fill a vacancy within a state of the art centre of excellence. Applicants should have a minimum of a degree in Physics, Electronics, Medical Physics or a related subject. An equivalent level of expertise through experience of a range of technical and clinical specialities is also applicable. You are required to provide technical support covering a wide range of electromedical equipment including repair, maintenance and calibration of equipment. The post will also include equipment training to medical, clinical & nursing staff and will cover a range of clinical specialities. Specialities Experienced candidates will be expected to be familiar with a range of areas covered by GJNH Medical Physics from the following: Anaesthetics Infusion Devices Cardiology Laboratories Cardiac Surgery Orthopaedics Dialysis Perfusion Endoscoty Medical Equipment IT Systems General Surgery Thoracic Surgery Additional requirements for this role are a high level of IT literacy, able to communicate with staff at all levels with relevant experience within a clinical engineering department. VRCT registration is desirable. Trainee applicants require a relevant degree and will be required to complete a formal 2 year training programme.
