Specialist Clinical Pharmacist
The Royal Infirmary is a major teaching hospital on the outskirts of Scotland's capital city providing 24 hour services with a wide range of specialities including A&E and Assessment units Transplant General Orthopaedic and Cardiothoracic surgery Acute medicine Medicine of the Elderly Obstetrics and Gynaecology Cardiac and Respiratory medicine. The aim of the Pharmacy Service is to assure quality of patient care in the provision of treatment with medicines. We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team providing a clinical pharmacy service to patients within the Emergency and Elective Orthopaedic Services.
You will contribute to medicines management and quality improvement to orthopaedic patients but may be required to provide services to other specialities under redesign of services.
The post holder will be expected to provide support and deputise for lead pharmacists and undertake supervision of less experienced pharmacists technicians and students. You should possess excellent communication organisational and time management skills. You will have demonstrable clinical pharmacy experience and will have completed the Scottish Hospital Vocational Training scheme or equivalent. A Clinical Pharmacy diploma/MSc is desirable.
