King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre (AHSC), is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with a turnover of nearly £1 billion, 15 million patient contacts a year and more than 11,500 staff based across 5 main sites in South East London.

The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) site in Camberwell and the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.

This post has been created to support Middle and Senior grade Cardiology staff, and the provision of cardiology services at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough, Kent. The position would best be suited to an experienced middle-grade cardiologist, who is hard-working and enthusiastic. It is anticipated that the candidate would be proficient in echocardiography, coronary angiography and cardiac pacing.

The appointee would contribute towards the daily management of in-patients under the supervision of the duty ward Consultant, assist with cardiology clinics, and cover regular angiography/pacing lists in the Cath Lab, according to their skill set and experience.

It is anticipated that the post-holder would have the opportunity to undertake set clinical attachments in the Cardiac department at Denmark Hill, at the discretion of the Clinical Lead, in order to develop exposure, experience and interest in the cardiology sub-specialties (Imaging, EP, Intervention, Heart Failure).
