Specialist Occupational Therapist: Child Sexual Exploitation Service

Salary £26,032 - £32,000 (Dependent on experience) per annum (Band 6 equivalent)

Full time - 40 hours per week

Cambian CSE Service - Somerset

Cambian are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our CSE service based in the Somerset region.

Previous experience in CSE is not essential, but candidates with the relevant experience would be preferred.

As the role will involve travelling to multiple sites, it is essential to hold a full UK Driving Licence in order to proceed.

Job Role

You will work alongside a Multidisciplinary Team including support workers, nursing staff, occupational therapy assistants, psychiatrists and psychologists. Taking a “hands on” approach it is essential that you will be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. You must have excellent organisational and time management skills.

You will provide quality assessments and interventions within the Model of Human Occupation and other Occupational Therapy models of your choosing. Knowledge of the care programme approach, risk assessment and clinical governance frameworks will prove advantageous. You will be part of a team consisting of another OT and 3 OTA’s and lead by example, reviewing and developing the service creatively and autonomously.

You will have the benefit of working closely with local Universities, supporting student education and will be able to develop your role as part of a supportive peer group in the wider Occupational Therapy team. There are opportunities available to be involved research projects and promotion of Occupational Therapy.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, forward thinking specialist occupational therapist to join our friendly team. You must have a degree or a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Successful candidates will need to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
