Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist
Elderly Medicine NPH/CMH
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to work in this well established team within the Acute Services. This is a permanent post working 375 hours a week and the successful candidate will need to be part of the 7 day service we provide which will include some weekend working.
The focus in will be on assessment and treatment of elderly inpatients. You will have an opportunity to develop your skills in a wide range of clinical conditions within the care of the elderly team, including a focus on dementia care for which the new sensory room has been utilized .There is a strong consultant led MDT working ethos to facilitate best patient practice. Occupational Therapy is an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team and has close links with other departments, including physiotherapy, social services and Healthcare and Rehabilitation Teams (providing support and therapy in the community). You will work closely with community teams to facilitate early discharges, and link with other inpatient seniors.
