Job Description

This post is based within Acute Physiotherapy, Women and Children's' Directorate. The Physiotherapy Service provides highly specialist paediatric care for the child and young person population of Glasgow and in many cases is a Tertiary referral centre for the West of Scotland and beyond. You will carry a varied and diverse inpatient and outpatient caseload within the following specialties; Outpatients, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Burns and Plastics, Haematology, Oncology, Hydrotherapy and Chronic Pain and this post requires close working relationship with Neurology, Respiratory and Community services. Appropriate Musculoskeletal experience is essential and paediatric experience in the speciality desirable. It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in Physiotherapy and you should have HCPC Registration. You should be able to evidence your continuing professional development including your attendance at recent post-graduate courses relevant to your clinical field. You should possess excellent time management, organisational, planning and communication skills while also having relevant musculoskeletal experience. This is a fixed term/ secondment post for one year. If you wish to apply for this post on a secondment basis please seek approval from your line manager in the first instance.
