SPECIALITY DOCTOR / DENTIST BEHCET’S / ORAL MEDICINE

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Specialty Doctor / Dentist in Oral Medicine to work in The Behcet’s Centre of Excellence, Royal London Hospital (Barts Health NHS Trust).
You will need to have full registration with the United Kingdom General Dental Council or General Medical Council and have a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience. You will be experienced in a range of clinical procedures (e.g. biopsy, venepuncture) and have an interest in oral medicine research as well as audit.
You will be well-organised and have a flexible approach to work. You will work in busy multi-disciplinary Behcet’s clinics (alongside rheumatologist, immunologist, neurologist, psychologist, nurses) as well as general oral medicine clinics. You will liaise with GPs, GDPs, Consultants and other professionals in hospital and in the community.
You will need good interpersonal skills enjoy working with patients and other professionals and have a sensitive and sympathetic manner.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to work under your own initiative and under pressure as well as being a good team player. In return we offer a friendly supportive working environment and the chance to be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team.
Our service is based in the Dental Hospital at the Royal London Hospital.
