ENT Specialty Doctor

Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor in ENT Surgery. Candidates must have general hospital or A + E experience. The post is aimed at applicants with the relevant Post Graduate training in ENT or has the equivalent experience and competency in routine ENT procedures.

This is a varied and interesting role in which the post holder will take part in theatre sessions’, outpatient clinics including emergency clinics. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the day-to-day care of patients on the ward. This will entail some clerking, preparation of operating lists and attendance on the daily ward round.

There is an on call commitment to this post which will enable the successful candidate to further increase their management and clinical skills.

This post will be based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital where a broad range of ENT Surgery is practiced. The department is linked to that of St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Ashford Hospital and Epsom District Hospital.

The Royal Surrey County Hospital is a large modern hospital, situated on a green field site on the outskirts of Guildford, in a very attractive part of the country. Guildford is an old market town situated in a strategic position in Surrey, with excellent road and rail links to London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, to the South Coast and to the West of England. Guildford offers excellent shopping, entertainment and sports facilities. There is a wide choice of state and independent schools locally; all of which have good reputations.
