We are looking to appoint a Specialty Doctor to work in the Acute Admissions Unit (AAU) for West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Watford General Hospital.
The post is for a permanent position.
This is an exciting post designed to provide registrar-equivalent duties and support the Consultant Acute Physicians and junior doctors in the AAU.
The successful post-holder will be one of the three specialty doctors, joining a dynamic and passionate team with strong consultant and nursing leadership. The purpose of the post is to provide skilled clinical care to patients in the acute ward and the short-stay ward of the AAU. The acute physicians are currently supported by three specialty doctors, 1 CMT, 5 FY2’s and 7 FY1s. This post will give the successful candidate a unique opportunity to gain experience in Acute Care, particularly from an Acute Medicine perspective. There will be opportunities to work in the Emergency Ambulatory Care service.
