Located in Sandwell with close links to Birmingham and the West Midlands, the central location of this post has numerous motorway and railway links to all parts of the country. The West Midlands has excellent schools, shopping facilities, culture and hotels.

This is a ward based post supporting 2 Consultant Psychiatrists in the North of the borough. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management of inpatients, both functional and organic. There is also outpatient work and the opportunity to undertake community assessments.

Applications are invited from applicants who have full GMC registration, with a minimum of 4 years postgraduate experience, with at least 2 years experience in Psychiatry with a minimum completed experience of 6 months in Older Adult Psychiatry. Section 12 Approval is desirable. Membership of The Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification is also desirable.
