Cygnet Hospital Stevenage is located just off J8 of the A1M, on the northern outskirts of Stevenage in Hertfordshire the hospital is easily reached from Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. Stevenage itself also has a regular train service connecting it to Kings Cross in London. The hospital is purpose built with 90 beds split into six wards that provide two separate care pathways for men and women from medium secure through low secure to locked services.

We require motivated and enthusiastic Specialty Doctors for our male & female acute wards designed for sectioned service users. We also welcome applications from Doctors who have 3 years psychiatric experience post full registration with the GMC.
For those who are part-way through their training we are looking for individuals who have been exposed to a forensic setting for at least 6 months and should be able to demonstrate an interest in the advertised client groups. MRCPsych is desirable but not essential and support and study leave is provided for those wishing to take these exams. The post requires the successful applicant to participate in the on call rota (1 in 6 days which includes weekends).
