Job Description

SPECIALTY REGISTRAR (LAT/LAS) IN RHEUMATOLOGY (Locum Appointment for Training/Locum Appointment for Service) A vacancy is available within the Directorate of Medicine, NHS Tayside as a Specialty Registrar (LAT/LAS) in Rheumatology. Applications will be considered for appointment at ST3 level. The Postgraduate Dean has confirmed that this programme has educational and staffing approval. The post is available from 1 February 2017 to 1 August 2017. However we are also keen to hear from individuals who are looking for shorter periods of employment. Training programmes are open equally to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train less than full-time. If appointed to a relevant Specialty Training Programme through open competition, documented competences achieved through a LAT can count towards CCT, or towards a CESR application for those not entering an approved Specialty Training Programme. There are good library facilities at Ninewells Hospital and active teaching and research programmes in which participation is expected and encouraged.
