We are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Therapist who has enthusiasm, compassion and commitment to supporting and enabling people with Learning Disabilities, to join our well established Community Learning Disability Team in South Tyneside.

You will work within the multi-disciplinary team to contribute to learning and development of staff and other stakeholders, to ensure effective service delivery and the best possible outcomes for our service users

You must have up to date knowledge and appropriate skills which will ensure that speech language therapy interventions are delivered in the way which meets the needs of the service user.

You will have an understanding of the communication needs of people with a learning disability and be able to demonstrate this with recent and on-going clinical professional development. It will be desirable for you to have some experience of working with people who have dysphagia.

You must have excellent communication and organisation skills and will manage a delegated case load.
