HLDP Speech and Language Therapy service is part of an integrated health and social care partnership including Whittington Health, Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust and Haringey Council. The partnership strives to provide a consistently high quality integrated service for adults with learning disabilities in Haringey.
Speech and Language Therapist Dysphagia
10.WTE Band 7
Due to the retirement of our current postholder, we are looking for a creative and dynamic experienced speech and language therapist to join our established team, and work with our service users who may have dysphagia and /or communication difficulties.
The postholder will be a part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team that is committed to delivering a holistic service to adults with learning disabilities in the community. There is a strong commitment to support people to achieve their potential.
The post holder will take the lead in dysphagia in the SLT team and will respond to referrals, provide assessment and intervention for individuals, and be the key person in delivering training to groups of support staff/carers, professionals.
This post is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your existing skills in working with adults with learning disabilities who have dysphagia.
Excellent support systems are in place, including clinical supervision, MDT support, and access to a wider clinical network within Whittington Health.
