o COLCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL - FULL/PART TIME (additional recruitment incentives)

This post attracts an additional payment of £1,000 to be paid in 2 instalments:

• £500 to be paid on completion of probation.
• £500 on completion of 12 months employment.

Please note that if you are newly qualified, you are also eligible for a Training Bursary of a further £500, to supplement additional work related training.

Please note that this post is also eligible for a £500 contribution towards the cost of housing to assist with the need to move home to start work at Colchester Hospital.

Our Emergency Care Service is expanding to meet local need, with a new build of the emergency department in progress and an increase in nursing establishment.

We are looking for enthusiastic staff nurses to join the Emergency Directorate team and provide a high standard of nursing care in an acute setting.

You will have a minimum of six months post-registration experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to remain professional under pressure. We need nurses who are open to the challenges brought about by change and who are committed to creative partnerships. You will need to be responsive to the fluctuating demands typical of the emergency environment and show a willingness to undertake extended roles.

Colchester University Hospital is an expanding Foundation Trust serving a growing and varied population. The emergency department sees approximately 72,000 per year.

We are looking for individuals who are keen to develop and deliver clinical care. You must be motivated to drive forward and improve the services for the population of Colchester and surrounding area. In return we are keen to give you the opportunity to develop your skills and practice in minor injury/illness and acute care whilst supporting you in your career development.

Candidates would be expected to work a 24-hour shift pattern
