Judy Beard Day Unit is looking for a dynamic band 5 Staff Nurse with an interest in Haematology/Oncology nursing.

We are a busy but friendly team delivering a variety of intravenous treatments including chemotherapy. You will need to be able to prioritise care, deliver treatments and maintain high standards of nursing care whilst responding sensitively to the needs of this client group.

Good communication skills and the ability to work with the wider MDT are essential. Ideally you will have some experience in venepuncture, cannulation, central lines and IV therapy.

At least 2 years post registration experience would be desirable and experience in administration of Chemotherapy is desirable but not essential as you will have the opportunity to develop this new skill with the help of the chemotherapy learning facilitator and will be supported by a period of mentorship. There is a structured training programme in the administration of chemotherapy and other associated treatments.
