Our Trust is a first-wave foundation trust, being one of just ten Trusts in the country awarded Foundation Trust status in 2004. We serve a population of over 410,000 people in the areas covered by Bassetlaw District Council and Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, as well as from parts of North Derbyshire, Barnsley, Rotherham, and north-west Lincolnshire.
Working as part of a team of Medical Staff, Nurses, Nursery Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Housekeepers, you will be responsible for providing the highest standard of evidenced based patient care.
The main Neonatal services are at Doncaster Royal Infirmary and Bassetlaw Hospitals. The Care Group is progressive and innovative, continually striving to improve services for children, young people and their families. The Care Group operates a rotational policy, when necessary, across both sites in order to meet service and development needs.
The Neonatal Unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary is a 18 bedded unit with 3 intensive care cots, 3 high dependency care and 12 special care cots. The neonatal unit cares for infants of 27 weeks gestation and above. The unit promotes excellence in Neonatal Nursing Care and can be a very special and rewarding environment.
As a Band 6 Staff Nurse you will require RN/RN Child qualified in speciality with evidence of professional development. Completion of the Neonatal Intensive Care Course is desirable but it is essential that you are willing to undertake this if not already qualified in speciality.
