The Trauma wards at Newcross Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team at what will be a very exciting time with many positive changes taking place.

We have a new Matron and Ward Manager in post who are passionate and committed to the staff and improving patient experience. We want you to be part of this journey and putting Wolverhampton Trauma and Orthopaedics on the national map.

In return for your commitment and dedication we will offer you 4-6 weeks supernumerary status so that you can be fully supported to understand the role within our wards. We encourage staff to undertake research for the benefits of patient care and safety but also for staff development.

We will support you with higher education and specialist training to ensure you have the knowledge and skills for the role. We also have a range of IT systems and processes for which you will receive training, these support our high standards of care. We use a system call Safehands which is an innovative IT programme aimed at identifying the real time opportunities and benefits for the trust. Initially implemented to monitor hand hygiene compliance it is now also used for equipment tracking ,patient tracking and flow, bed capacity, staff assistance alerts and many more
