That is why we are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Band 6 Staff Nurse to join the Private Patient Medical Day Unit at the Royal Marsden in Chelsea.
This is a fast paced and busy Medical Day Unit which provides a variety of chemotherapy and anti-cancer drugs as well as supportive therapies.
We work closely with the unit Doctors and Pharmacists to provide the highest possible standard of patient care.
We provide excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in a well-resourced environment. Many of the courses we offer are delivered on site at The Royal Marsden School of Cancer Nursing and Rehabilitation.
To apply for this post you will be:
A nurse registered with the NMC who has the skills to care for patients with cancer. You will also have relevant oncology nursing experience and ideally hold a post registration oncology qualification and must be accredited for chemotherapy administration.
Phlebotomy & Cannulation are desirable but training will be provided if necessary.
In addition you will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, will be a reliable, enthusiastic and effective team member, and be committed to providing the highest level of service to our patients.
At this level of expertise, the post holders must be able to exercise clinical judgement and decision making about patient needs.
